Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon La Tourangelle Toasted Sesame Oil
- 2 lbs of beef ribs
- 2 cups water
- 1 tablespoon sake
- 4 tablespoon soy sauce
- 3 tablespoon brown sugar
- 8 cloves of garlic (minced)
- one bunch green onion (chopped)
- ½ onion (cut into 1 inch cubes)
- 2 carrots (cut into 1 inch cubes)
- 1 radish (cut into 1 inch cubes)
- 5 shiitake mushrooms (cut into bite sizes)
- ½ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
Directions
- Soak ribs in cold water for 30 minutes, and then boil them for 5-10 minutes. Wash them with cold water and then mix with soy sauce, garlic, onion, sake, water and brown sugar in a big pot. Boil the mixture over medium heat for 20 minutes. Open the lid and add carrots, radish and shiitake mushrooms to the pot. Let it simmer for about 1 hour. Add sesame oil, and black pepper and mix it well before serving.
