Marinated Hot Dogs

Print This Recipe

Marinades are typically reserved for chicken and beef, but why not pack some flavor into a summertime staple like hot dogs before throwing them on the grill? This blend of soy sauce, minced garlic and Grapeseed Oil will surprise and delight your biggest hot dog fanatic. One bite, and they may not even reach for the ketchup and mustard!

Prep Time
Cook Time

  • 4 large hot dogs
  • 2 Tbsp ketchup
  • 1 Tbsp soy sauce
  • 1/2 tsp Grapeseed Oil
  • 1 large garlic clove, minced

  1. Light a grill. With kitchen scissors, make snips at an angle in 3 rows down each hot dog, about 1/2 inch apart, cutting partway into the hot dog. The snips should look like angular cuts.
  2. On a large plate, mix the ketchup with the soy sauce, Grapeseed Oil and garlic. Turn to coat each hot dog with the mixture.
  3. Grill the hot dogs over high heat all over, until nicely charred and the cuts open up, about 2 minutes total; the hot dogs should resemble pine cones. Serve in your favorite buns with desired toppings. Enjoy!
