Learn how to make Peppermints with Virgin Unrefined Coconut Oil from La Tourangelle
Ingredients
- 1 cup Virgin Unrefined Coconut Oil
- 1/2 cup Honey
- 1 1/2 teaspoons Peppermint Extract
- 1/4 cup Cocoa Powder
Directions
- Place the coconut oil, honey, and peppermint extract in a medium sized bowl that fits on top of another bowl. Fill the lower bowl with hot water and replace the upper bowl. Stir the contents periodically as it melts. Once melted, empty the hot water from the lower bowl and slowly add cold water. Replace top bowl again and stir for a few minutes as it cools. Now you can put some ice cubes in the water below and whisk the ingredients until it begins to stiffen. Pour out into a baking pan or dish and smooth it out evenly. Refrigerate for an hour or until hardened. Scoop out with a spoon, roll into a ball in the palms of your hands and dust with cocoa powder. These mints will keep in the fridge for a week. Enjoy!
