LaTourangelle organic olive oils are ideal for everyday use. Wonderful for sautéing, baking, dipping, blending, drizzling, or for use in salad dressing. Our organic olive oils are exclusively sourced from a farmers' cooperative bringing together a small village in Spain's largest Natural Park in the mountains of Andalusia (Sierra de Segura).
We make sure to select the olives that are harvested early ("Early Harvest" is a regulated claim in Spain- harvest happens before November 15th). Early harvested olives have more complex flavors and higher naturally occurring antioxidant levels.
We bring the oil by 45,000 lbs shipment to California where we pack each can after thoroughly testing each batch in our world class lab to ensure quality and authenticity.
Our organic olive oils have naturally high levels of oleic acid and antioxidants. Trees are grown traditionally (not high density planting) and a lot of them are over a hundred-years old! Because the trees grow in altitude, they make high quality olives that make fantastic oils.
We planted 10,000 olive trees in 2021 around our mill in Woodland, California. We plan to harvest our first California olives this year (2023)! Watch for our first California EVOO sale in 2024!
